![]() ![]() To help the spiders legs and elastic stay in place we cut out a little circle of card stock to stick over the top of them. To be honest the thread we used that you can see in the photographs is a little on the thick side and we’ve learnt from this that we’d be better off with something thinner and looser next time. You’ll need to choose a thin, slack elastic because the pom pom spiders are so light and won’t jump unless the elastic is really easily stretched. Next add a length of elastic for the spider to jump and bounce about on. I LOVE UHU Glue for this spider craft because it’s so quick to dry and kids aren’t left holding things in place for ages while it hardens and can get playing with their jumping spiders pretty much straight away. ![]() Start off by adding a drop of UHU Glue to the back of your pom pom and lay on 8 matchstick legs.
